Guerin Place Affordable Housing Study

AEC-ME was part of a project team that performed an HVAC study to decrease energy use and update Guerin Place. The building is made up of 19 separate apartment units with a common area on the 1st floor. There are 6 units in the basement, 6 units on the first floor, and 7 units on the second floor. Each separate unit is served by its own HVAC system. The systems were installed around 1994. AEC-ME was responsible for assessing the mechanical systems, including the external heat pump units and their associated internal air handlers. AEC-ME conducted on-site visual assessments, performed systems testing on the mechanical equipment, prepared options for improvements, and prepared an extensive maintenance plan to ensure longevity of the equipment.
