Camp Atterbury Building 9 - MEP Upgrades Indiana National Guard

The HVAC system for Camp Atterbury’s Welcome Center and Musuem was failing and was the least efficient building at the camp. The camp asked AEC-ME to help upgrade and simplify the design another MEP engineering team had offered. The final design was much more simplified and still offer energy saving opportunities. Improvements included demolition of most of the HVAC system which had poor access. The new system added a variable volume rooftop package unit and ductwork, new variable volume terminal units, new boiler and pumps, new building automation system, lighting upgrade, and minimal changes to domestic water. The Camp was excited about system, improved access, and the energy savings.
