This Ball State Bracken Library project replaced the existing liquid-filled medium voltage transformer powering switchboard M-D-L. During site investigation, physical limitations were discovered for the space for the transformer. AEC-ME provided solutions to the client that allowed for more options for bidders, while still providing a reliable transformer system for the university. AEC-ME prepared construction documents for a new 175-KVA transformer and associated equipment. Construction costs were roughly $300k.
