The Back 9 Golf & Entertainment venue is a new 58,000 SQFT facility just southwest of downtown Indianapolis. This innovative three-story golf range and  music pavilion uses radar detection to track “True Flight” golf balls for guests. The venue includes 75 climate-controlled bays, a bar and dining area, a beer garden, private event space, and VIP suites. The new entertainment venue opened Summer 2022. AEC-ME was responsible for design of the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems for the facility. Mechanical systems included infrared gas heaters to provide heat and climate control to the open-air golf bays, electric heaters, indoor AC units, industrial fans, and kitchen exhaust fans. Electrical systems included power, LED lighting, lighting controls, fire alarm, and connections for A/V and communication systems.
